Wednesday weigh in... its not good

Well I have been super active lately and pretty hungry so I thought it would balance out but I guess it hasn't I have gained 3 lbs.

I am not too discouraged by this but I would really like to hit the -20 lbs goal. I feel like I have been working on that number for about 3 weeks (and I have).

So if anyone has any suggestions to hit it I would love your input!

I need to eat cleaner I know. But I am drinking anywhere from 68- 102 ounces of water a day. But I am usually drinking a diet soda in there too.

But I am not discouraged I just want to hit it!!!

We had a nice weekend. I have come to realize that Easter is not my favorite holiday.

I believe that Christ rose from the grave and I celebrate that but besides that it is not so great with life happenings.

When I was a kid my dog got out and was ran over on Easter (my first dog that was my own not the families), my mom was in a car wreck, pretty bad 3 years ago (she is ok, but it was a terrible day) and yesterday my husband and I were at odds with each other the whole day (no major reason just couldn't get along) and then I dropped my phone and shattered the screen.

I know I cried about it yesterday. My husband laughed and that made me sooo angry. I am not a person attached to worldly things like that but it was what I kept track of my weight loss stuff on. It was how I checked the weather, it was so engrained in my daily life that it was more than just a phone.

Now I am one of those people who is not always on my phone but when I sat down I liked to check my calories and look at all my pictures. I had pictures on there from when my niece was only 1 year old and barely had any hair... I just miss my pictures. I had pictures from my trip to Napa Valley to out vacations and summers.

It just sucks.

One victory--- I did not eat one peanut butter egg this Easter... I can usually pack away about 10 in the course of a Easter holiday season. But I did not even eat one. But I did have 3 cadbury eggs but they were spaced about a week apart from each other.

Wednesday weigh in and Pictures!!!

I've lost 1 more pound!! -19 lbs total!!!

Yes I am so excited! I feel really great. I am making more good food at home and I think it is paying off.

The fence is almost done. We had a big storm yesterday so we could not finish the gate side but we have finished all of the hard work part. I missed Zumba for the first time but we worked on the fence until about 9 pm on Monday night. My father-in-law and mother-in-law have been such a big help these last few days. I have no clue how we could have done it without them.

My mother-in-law suffers from Lupus and several other health problems, last year she was in such bad condition she could barely leave the house. But I truly believe that it is through God's miracle working hands she is doing a lot better and she has even been out there working along side of us.

Here are some pictures of the fence!

Also this weekend we went to the wedding of Riley's cousin. We had a nice time and it was a beautiful wedding. I love my husbands little grin. I think he is so cute!!

I have been told by my mother-in-law, a fellow teacher and another person that they can tell a difference. I feel really good about this weight loss.

Hopefully I can be -30 lbs for my birthday (May 16th) If not I will take -25 lbs!

It shows me that I started something and have stuck with it.

The world's most honest janitor!

So many of you know that I am a teacher and as a teacher my day is filled with many great  human interactions, students, parents, other teachers, community members and of course the wonderful janitors at work.

Now we have gone through 8 day time janitors this year (that is a lot) but now we have these two great guys (Steve and Dusty) who work very hard and they are very kind. But we have had these 2 nighttime janitors who have been here at least a year. These ladies are very kind. Ms. M (I have changed names to protect the innocent) is an older woman (in her 60's) she is missing a few teeth but has a very fun personality and she works very hard for school. I enjoy talking to her everyday on my way out to find out how she is doing and what is going on with her family. She has really taken a liking to me. She has even given me termsof endearment "Ms. Hippy" or "Wide Hips"

Now I know that I like to recycle and by stuff at farmers markets but she isn't calling me Ms. Hippy because of my political beliefs it is because of the size of my hips. Now usually I hate when people comment about my hips. I don't hate them but I really don't want people commenting on them. But Ms. M, I believe is meaning all of this as a compliment.

Ms. M loves my hips. She talks about them all the time. I have told her that I am working on losing them but she tells me not to lose a pound bc of my hips. She would hate for them to get smaller.

I was walking down the hall with a male coach that I am his team leader, and Ms. M comes up and calls me Wide hips just to give him more ammo to use against since he loves to razz me.

I found out yesterday that she was talking to my best friend/fellow teacher, Donna. Donna is like me and is working on losing some lbs. Ms. M told Donna that she would look better if she could lose this area and she rubs her stomach. Ms. M said to Donna the other day, "You know that teacher, the one with the wide hips (as she makes a big round circle with her hands) I saw her dancing the other day (we were working on a flash mob dance for a pep rally) and she know how to work those hips.... ewww girl she bounces them back and forth down the hall too. When she starts having babies she is going to have it so easy. They are just going to pop right out of her."

I have two favorite parts of that conversation with my friend... Dear God, Please let me have easy pregnancies and labors. Next "I know how to work those hips" OH DEAR LORD... I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO WORK MY HIPS. In Zumba I feel so awkward and feel like my butt takes up too much room. This is how I am pretty sure I look...
